VITO
Verdicchio
dei Castelli di Jesi
DOC CLASSICO SUPERIORE
Grape variety
100% Verdicchio
Harvest period
Early to mid-September
Vineyards
The grapes come from the vineyards in the Sant’Amico zone, which are situated, with different exposures, at an average altitude of 200 meters above sea level. These are principally mixed, clay-based soils, with a substantial sand content.
In the vineyard
Care for our terroir is our constant preoccupation, including in the way we look after our vineyards. In fact, we grow our grapes organically, without any chemical herbicides; we grow cover crops and use green manure. Also, to keep the bunches cool at harvest time, we usually cover them with the leaves during the stages of ripening, so that they are not subjected to any kind of stress.
Harvesting
The Verdicchio grapes are picked by hand, selecting the very best fruit from each
individual vineyard site.
Vinification
We like to use a phrase that explains the philosophy we work with: we employ the simplest vinification in the world, seeking to put into the wine exactly what there is in the grapes.
Aging
It remains on its fine lees in stainless steel for approximately 6 months. It is filtered and bottled in March, but it expresses itself to the full after the summer.
Tasting notes
A golden yellow, with youthful green highlights. An appealing, lively nose, with notes of yellow-fleshed fruits and attractive floral hints. Vibrant and dynamic in the mouth, with a nice freshness and substantial but not heavy fruit on the middle palate. A long, tangy finish. Persistent.
Concept
The new label designed for Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Cl. Sup. VITO is inspired by the owner’s life path and is a symbolic portrait that also wants to express his passion for art. The shapes represented allude to the two worlds in which he is the protagonist: on the left a linear and metallic shape tells us of his entrepreneurial past in steel, while on the right the reference to the olive leaf suggests the second phase of his life. In the center an ascending, spiral line leads us from bottom to top to the representation of a grape. The gold foil surfaces have been further enriched by micro embossing which, in addition to providing tactile sensations, underlines the different nature of the elements represented, increasing the perceived value of the dressing.

Verdicchio Riserva
DOCG CLASSICO
Grape variety
Pure Verdicchio
Harvest period
Early/Mid-September
Vineyards
The vineyard from which the Riserva originates covers about two hectares in a single block at an altitude of 250 meters, with loamy clay soils streaked with sand.
In the vineyard
Care for the land is our constant focus, even in vineyard management. We cultivate without chemical herbicides, adopting the practices of cover cropping and green manuring. Moreover, to preserve the freshness of the grapes at harvest time, we usually shade them with leaves during ripening, so they are not subjected to stress.
Harvesting
Wine made from grapes hand-selected with meticulous care within a single vineyard, choosing the clusters best protected from the sun’s heat and direct radiation. In addition, we do not harvest in the less vigorous areas of the vineyard.
Vinification
As soon as the clusters are harvested, they are protected from oxygen with dry ice and quickly transported to the winery, where they are destemmed but not crushed. They are then cooled to 7–8°C and left to macerate in the press for a few hours. Our yields in free-run must are also very low, obtaining just 50 liters from 100 kilograms of grapes.
Aging
The wine rests in steel on the fine lees for about 12 months, followed by a further six months of aging in the bottle.
Tasting notes
Golden yellow, luminous and brilliant. The aromatic complexity immediately reveals a wine that wants to tell its story, unveiling itself little by little, opening into notes of yellow peach, white flowers, white spices, and hawthorn. On the palate, it enters pleasantly and unfolds dynamically at the mid-palate with its fruit. Persistent, with a lively and flavorful finish and a sweet closure.
COSTA LISIANO
MARCHE ROSSO
I.G.T., OBTAINED FROM LACRIMA GRAPES
Grape variety
100% Lacrima
Harvest period
Mid-September
Vineyards
The grapes come from vineyards at an altitude of over 200 meters above sea level, near which a small stream called the Lisciano flows, from which the wine’s name derives. The soils, with southeasterly exposure, are a mix of clay and sand, with a considerable calcareous content. This characteristic is particularly important because it gives refined aromas and elegance to the wines.
In the vineyard
Care for our terroir is our constant preoccupation, including in the way we look after our vineyards. In fact, we grow our grapes organically, without any chemical herbicides; we grow cover crops and use green manure. Also, to keep the bunches cool at harvest time, we usually cover them with the leaves during the ripening stages, so that they are not subjected to any kind of stress.
Harvesting
The grapes are picked by hand, selecting just the very best fruit.
Vinification
We like to use a phrase that explains the philosophy we work with: we employ the simplest vinification in the world, seeking to put into the wine exactly what there is in the grapes. The hand-picked grapes are vinified with a long maceration and subsequent very gentle extraction.
Aging
It remains on its fine lees in stainless steel for approximately 6 months, before being filtered and bottled in March.
Tasting notes
Its color is a vibrant, bright ruby. The nose is decidedly unusual: balm-like and floral, with notes that recall the aromas of the Mediterranean and spices, along with delightful hints of sandalwood. It is fresh and lively in the mouth, with attractive sweet, grapey notes on the middle palate, as well as persistent, saline depth.
Concept
The label of Costa Lisiano wine represents the characteristic walkways in the walls of Morro D’Alba, dating back to the 13 th century. From here the estate grounds and the winery are visible and here a young Vito saw his dream born day by day.
A dream in which, through these wines, we too can take part.
LACRIMA
DI MORRO D’ALBA DOC SUPERIORE
Grape variety
Pure Lacrima
Harvest period
Mid-September
Vineyards
The grapes come from vineyards in Contrada Lisciano, at an altitude of over 200 meters above sea level. The soils, facing southeast, are a mix of clay and sand with a strong limestone component, which is particularly important because it lends finesse to the aromas and elegance to the wines. The Superiore originates from a specific parcel of the vineyards in Contrada Lisciano.
In the vineyard
Care for the territory is our constant focus, even in vineyard management. We cultivate without chemical herbicides and through the practice of cover cropping and green manuring. Moreover, to preserve the freshness of the grapes at harvest time, we usually shade them with leaves during ripening so they are not subjected to stress.
Harvesting
The grapes are harvested by hand, selecting only the best clusters.
Vinification
We like to use a phrase to express our work philosophy: we use the simplest winemaking method in the world, striving to transfer into the wine everything that is already in the grape. The hand-harvested grapes undergo a long maceration and a very gentle extraction.
Aging
The wine rests in steel on the fine lees for about 18 months. It is filtered and bottled in June.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red. The first olfactory impression recalls a journey through Eastern lands, with spices, sandalwood, and balsamic notes, blending with red-fleshed fruits such as plum and cherry, alongside the typical floral bouquet of rose, violet, and sweet violet. On the palate, it is enveloping, with present but pleasant and crisp tannins. The finish is savory and long, with a note of white pepper.
